Keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts let you save a bill, find a record or move to another module without the mouse. They are optional. Everything on this page can also be done with the mouse.
Open the list in the app: press F2 on any screen.
Key features
- Save and go back: Save a form and leave a screen with one key
- Lists: Search, filter, add, edit and print with single keys
- Grids: Move between rows and cells, and add a row to a bill
- Jump to a module: Press G and then a letter
Before you start
- Single-key shortcuts such as N or E do not work while your cursor is inside a text box. Click outside the box first, or use the Alt versions.
- A shortcut works only on screens where you have permission. For example, you get a jump key for Purchase only if you can open Purchase.
- Some shortcuts work only on certain screens. The F2 list shows the ones for the screen you are on.

How Esc works
- If your cursor is in a box or table, the first press leaves it.
- The next press goes back to the previous screen.
- If a form has unsaved changes, EazyJewel asks you to confirm before it leaves.
Press Ctrl + S instead of clicking Save. It works from inside a text box, and it stops the browser from opening its own save window.
On list pages
Lists are screens such as Items, Parties, Tags and Sales.
Delete removes the selected row. Check which row is selected before you press it.
On forms and bills
In tables and grids
Jump to a module

FAQs
Why does N or E do nothing?
Single-key shortcuts work only when your cursor is not in a text box. Click an empty part of the page and try again. Alt + N works even while you are typing.
Why is there no jump key for a module?
Jump keys follow your permissions. If you cannot open a module, it has no key. Ask your admin, who sets this in Roles and permissions.
I pressed Esc and the screen went back. Is my work lost?
If the form had unsaved changes, EazyJewel asks you to confirm first. Choose to stay on the form and press Ctrl + S to save.
Where can I see the full list in the app?
Press F2 on any screen. It also shows the shortcuts for the screen you are on.
