View as Markdown

Take back a piece the customer bought earlier and adjust its value against a new bill.

Key features

  • Take back a piece inside a new bill
  • Customer pays only the difference

Steps

Example: Kavitha from Erode returns a ring worth ₹12,000 and buys new earrings worth ₹18,500.

1

Make the new bill

Create the sales bill and add the earrings. See Sales bill.

2

Add the return

In the Sales Return block, click Create New. Pick the ring she is returning.

3

Check Net Receivable

The returned value is adjusted. Net Receivable is about ₹18,500 − ₹12,000 = ₹6,500.

4

Collect and save

Add a receipt for the balance and click Save.

A returned tagged piece stays Returned until its tag is reopened. See Tags and Sales return and adjustment notes.
