Silver ornament bill

View as Markdown

Bill a silver ornament, like a pair of kolusu, using the silver rate per gram, with the same steps as a gold bill.

Key features

  • Silver anklet bill with per-gram making charge
  • Shows how GST is added

Steps

A silver bill follows the same steps as a gold bill. The difference is that the item is a silver item, so the silver rate per gram is used.

Example: Selvi from Salem buys a pair of silver kolusu, 50.000 g. Sample silver rate ₹95 per gram, making charge ₹10 per gram, no wastage.

1

Check today's silver rate

Enter today’s silver rate. See Daily metal rate.

2

Open a new bill

Daily Counter → Sales → Sales bills → New Sale. Pick Selvi in Billing Customer.

3

Scan the kolusu tag

The silver item and its weights come from the tag. Check that the Rate shows the silver rate, not the gold rate.

4

Check the amounts

Metal 50.000 × ₹95 = ₹4,750. MC 50.000 × ₹10 = ₹500. Taxable ₹5,250. GST 3% = ₹157.50 (CGST ₹78.75 + SGST ₹78.75). Net ₹5,407.50, rounded to ₹5,408 (or as your round off shows).

5

Take payment and save

Add the receipt and click Save.

Silver items need a silver category and item. See Category and Items. Always check the GST on the bill before saving.
