View as Markdown

Book jewellery with an advance on a sales order, then bill it when it is ready.

Key features

  • Bill a booked order
  • Make sure the booking advance is counted

Steps

Example: Priya from Thanjavur books a bridal necklace for her wedding. She pays ₹25,000 advance today.

1

Create the sales order

Go to Daily Counter → Sales → Sales Orders and add a new order. Pick Priya in Customer, enter the Due Date and the items. See Sales orders.

2

Record the advance

Enter Advance Amount ₹25,000 and click Save Order.

3

Bill it when ready

When the necklace is ready, open Sales bills → New Sale for Priya and add the necklace.

Bringing a sales order or its advance into the sales bill is not confirmed yet. The sales bill only has Add from Estimation. Before collecting, ask your administrator how the ₹25,000 advance should be set off.
