# Sale with a sales return

Take back a piece the customer bought earlier and adjust its value against a new bill.

## Steps

**Example:** Kavitha from Erode returns a ring worth ₹12,000 and buys new earrings worth ₹18,500.

#### Make the new bill

Create the sales bill and add the earrings. See [Sales bill](../daily-counter/sales-bill).

#### Add the return

In the **Sales Return** block, click **Create New**. Pick the ring she is returning.

#### Check Net Receivable

The returned value is adjusted. Net Receivable is about ₹18,500 − ₹12,000 = **₹6,500**.

#### Collect and save

Add a receipt for the balance and click **Save**.
