# Units of measure (UOM)

> The units EasyJewel uses to count and weigh your stock, like grams and pieces.

A unit of measure tells EasyJewel how an item is counted. Gold chains are sold by **grams**, while items like gift boxes or coins can be counted in **numbers**.

**Menu:** Stock → Inventory → UOM

> **Info**
>
> EasyJewel already has the two units most shops need:
>
> * **Grams (Gms)**, with 3 decimals, for example 8.250 g
> * **Numbers (Nos)**, with 0 decimals, for example 2 pieces
