# Repayments

> Take interest, a part payment or the full amount to close a jewel loan.

**Menu:** Jewel Loan → Loan Lifecycle → Repayments

#### Find the loan

Type the loan number in **Loan Account**.

#### Check the dates

Payment date and Interest calculated till are today by default.

#### Choose what the customer is paying

| Option        | Meaning                                                                     |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Interest only | The customer pays the interest due, or part of it. Principal stays the same |
| Part payment  | The customer pays part of the principal                                     |
| Close loan    | The customer pays everything and closes the loan                            |

Enter Interest, Principal, Discount and Round off as needed.

#### Receive the payment

Under **Receive payment**, turn on **Split across modes** to take, for example, part cash and part UPI. Click **Receive payment**.

The right side shows **Amount to receive**, the loan balance (Principal outstanding, Interest due, Total due) and **Balance after payment**. Saving stores the receipt and updates the loan balance.
