# Jewel loan from start to close

> Give a new jewel loan, take an interest payment, and close the loan.

**Example:** Kumar from Coimbatore pledges a 22K gold chain, 10 g.

## 1. Give the loan

#### Open Loan Create

Go to **Jewel Loan → Loan Lifecycle → Loan Create**. Pick Kumar in **Customer**.

#### Enter the chain

Under **Jewel items pledged**, enter the item, gross, stone and less weight. Purity starts at 91.6. Click **Add Item**.

#### Fill the terms

Pick the **Scheme**, **Loan series** and **Tenure**. Check **Eligible Amount** and enter the **Loan amount**.

#### Disburse

Check **Net to customer** after deductions, choose the payment mode and click **Disburse Loan**.

## 2. Take an interest payment

#### Open Repayments

Go to **Jewel Loan → Loan Lifecycle → Repayments** and type the loan number in **Loan Account**.

#### Choose Interest only

Choose **Interest only** and check the interest due.

#### Receive

Choose the mode (turn on **Split across modes** for cash + UPI) and click **Receive payment**.

## 3. Close the loan

#### Open the loan in Repayments

Type the loan number in **Loan Account**.

#### Choose Close loan

Choose **Close loan**. Check **Total due** (principal + interest).

#### Receive and return the jewel

Click **Receive payment**. Then hand the chain back to Kumar.
