# Estimation to sale

> Give the customer a price quote, then turn it into a sales bill when they come back.

Give the customer a price quote, then turn it into a sales bill when they come back.

* Check the rate is still valid

## Steps

**Example:** Murugan from Madurai asks the price of a 22K chain of 8.250 g.

#### Make the estimation

Go to **Daily Counter → Estimation**. Pick Murugan in **Party**, scan the chain's tag and save. **Valid Duration** is **1 Day** by default. See [Estimation](../daily-counter/estimation).

#### Print or share

Click **Save & Print**. Choose Thermal, A4 or PDF.

#### Open a sales bill

When he comes back while it is valid, open **Sales bills → New Sale** and pick Murugan.

#### Add from Estimation

Click **Add From Estimation** and pick his estimation. The items come into the bill.

#### Check, collect and save

Check the rate and amounts, add the receipt and save. The estimation then shows as **Converted**.

> After the valid time passes, the estimation shows as **Expired**.
