## Steps

**Example:** Anitha from Dindigul sells an old pair of kammal: net 6.000 g, purity 91.6. You pay ₹6,500 per gram on net weight.

#### Open Old Jewel Purchase

Go to **Daily Counter → Purchase → Old Jewel Purchase** and add a new entry. The voucher number fills in, e.g. OJP0001.

#### Pick the customer

Choose Anitha as the party.

#### Enter the piece

Enter Pcs, Gross, Stone and Less. Net shows 6.000 g. Change **Purity %** to 91.6. It starts at 100 on this screen. That gives about **5.496 g** pure.

#### Enter the rate

At ₹6,500 per gram on net weight, value = 6.000 × 6,500 = **₹39,000**.

#### Pay and save

Add the payment you give Anitha (cash or bank transfer) and save.

> **Purity %** starts at 100 on this screen. Always type the tested purity before saving, or you will overpay.

> For cash payments, Payment Settings has a limit of ₹20,000 by default. Pay larger amounts by bank transfer. See [Settings](../settings/settings).
