# Old jewel purchase

> Buy old gold from a customer, work out pure weight from purity, and pay the customer.

When a customer sells you old gold for cash, record it here. For old gold given in exchange for new jewellery, use the old jewel block inside the [Sales bill](./sales-bill).

#### Pick the customer

The voucher number is filled in, for example OJP0001.

#### Enter each piece

Enter Pcs, Gross, Stone and Less weight. Net weight is worked out. Enter the **Purity %**, and pure weight is worked out.

#### Pay the customer

Add the payment you give the customer, then save.

**Example:** Old kammal, net 6.000 g at purity 91.6% gives about 5.496 g pure gold.
