# Ledger opening balance

> Enter the starting balance of each account when you begin using the app.

**Menu:** Accounts → Finance → Opening Balance

Each row is a ledger with its Group. Type the **Debit Amount** or **Credit Amount** and pick the **OB Date**. Save a single row with its save button, or click **Save All** to save every row. The **Overall Total** at the bottom shows total debit and credit.

**Example:** Cash in the drawer on 1 April is ₹85,000. Enter 85,000 in Debit Amount for *Cash*.

> When you finish, total debit and total credit should match.
