# Contra

> Move money between cash and bank, such as depositing the day's cash in the bank.

**Menu:** Accounts → Finance → Contra

| Cash → Bank | Deposit         |
| Bank → Cash | Cash withdrawal |
| Bank → Bank | Bank transfer   |
| Cash → Cash | Cash transfer   |

The entry type follows your selection.

Fill Transaction Date \*, Series \* (Default Contra), Status \* (Approved), **From Account (Cash/Bank)** \*, **To Account (Cash/Bank)** \*, **Amount (₹)** \* and Narration. The Entry Number is filled in, for example CNT0001. Click **Save**.

**Example:** Deposit ₹1,50,000 cash into Indian Bank - From *Cash*, To *Indian Bank*.
